Leen Khalil – Founder & Managing Director

With over 19 years of experience in humanitarian and development work, Leen Khalil brings visionary leadership and deep expertise to Onyx Horizon Solutions. Leen’s career extents program design, strategic management, and capacity building across sectors including education, health, protection, and WASH. Leen has worked extensively with global organizations and donors such as UNICEF, CDC, GAC, NMFA, Act Alliance and DTRA, and has led impactful initiatives across the MENA region. At OHS, Leen is dedicated to designing inclusive, culturally grounded, and evidence-based solutions that empower individuals and communities to thrive.

Murtaja Awad – Financial and Operational Advisor

Murtaja brings over 30 years of expertise in financial management, operational leadership, and organizational development across nonprofit, private, and consultancy sectors. With extensive experience at GHD|EMPHNET, and international NGOs, he has led strategic planning, budgeting, grants management, procurement, and audit processes in complex, donor-funded environments. Murtaja holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a focus on Advanced Accounting and Auditing and is known for his results-driven approach, cross-functional leadership, and commitment to transparency and compliance. At OHS, he plays a pivotal role in financial planning, donor reporting, and operational excellence.

Shatha Khalaf – Technical Training Specialist

Shatha Khalaf brings a unique interdisciplinary background and a deep commitment to human development and transformative learning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, a second Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, a Master’s degree in Analytical Toxicology, and a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. At Onyx Horizon Solutions, Shatha leads the development and facilitation of technical training programs focused on igniting the mind and expanding human potential. Her role includes designing evidence-based, consciousness-centered learning materials and supporting technical implementation across various program areas. Shatha’s expertise bridges science, technology, and self-awareness, making her a key contributor to OHS’s mission of empowering individuals and communities through education and innovation.

Laila Abu Qatousah – Education Advisor

Laila Abu Qatousah is an accomplished education expert with over 20 years of experience crossing teaching, supervision, policy development, and training. She has played a key role within Jordan’s Ministry of Education, contributing to national strategies and professional development programs. Laila is a certified School Inspector by KHDA (UAE) and has served as an assessor for the SDDP and Queen Rania Award. Her work with UNICEF and Education Development Trust (EDT) further reflects her commitment to improving education quality and equity through system-level reform and capacity building.

Hanaa Abo Zeinah - Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Associate

Hanaa holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology with academic training across multiple disciplines, including psychology, social psychology, trauma, and refugee mental health. She completed her clinical practicum at the University Hospital’s Psychiatry Department and interned with the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA), supporting mental health services for survivors of domestic violence. Her background combines trauma-informed care, psychosocial support, and a strong understanding of mental health in humanitarian contexts, making her a valuable contributor to OHS’s integrated educational and wellbeing programs
